Your Questions About Accept No Excuses Quotes

Mandy asks…

Discuss how you would approach creating a negative message ?

Discuss how you would approach creating a negative message for a superior, (Such as a manager at work or an instructor)
Versus creating a message for a colleague, subordinate, or fellow student.

Ramesh Klinkert answers:

For a superior, you should say what would have happened in a perfect world…then at the end you say that it didn’t happen like that and it wasn’t your fault.

Example: The project would have come in on budget if the IT department had received accurate quotes upon which we could have based our recommendations to the board. Unfortunately we could only base our recommendations on the information which we were given in good faith at the time of writing, and we accepted the veracity of said reports received from the IT department in good faith given the faith which the board had hitherto shown in the IT department.

For a colleague, you show understanding, while still making sure that they know that you know that they screwed up.

Example: While I fully support your analysis of the situation given the information available to you at the time of submission, I also recognise that the board may question whether further examination of the situation may not have yielded supplementary information such as may have changed your appreciation of the situation as it existed.

For a subordinate: If this goes pear-shaped, you will be out the door before me.

For a fellow student: Next time we get put together to work on a project I’m going to swap you for someone else.

The conditional perfect (“I would have given you a better answer if it wasn’t my bedtime”) is the “excuses” tense.
Hope this helps, I had fun writing it!

Jenny asks…

Does anyone know the Cincinnati based dancer Byron Carter?

He has danced for Beyonce on her most recent tour and back when she was in Destiny’s Child. This man is sooo fine and talented. I heard he’s married though :( and judging by the way he moves, he prolly has a bunch of kids too ;)

Ramesh Klinkert answers:

I’m really happy to say that I know exactly who you’re talking about! I also think that he is really good looking and an amazing dancer. The only reason that I know about him is because I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, and that’s where he is from! I don’t personally know him, though!

I found this really cute article on him on this website: http://www.dancespirit.com/articles/1665

He tells about the first time he was accepted with Destiny’s Child!

Here’s his exact quote:

“Beyoncé dancer Byron Carter is based out of Cincinnati, OH. Three years ago he traveled to L.A. For an open audition with Clear Talent Group. He signed with the agency and shortly thereafter attended another open call, this one in Chicago for Destiny’s Child. A few days after the audition, while working his day job at a tuxedo shop, his cell phone rang. Carter remembers the conversation this way:

“This is Frank Gatson from Destiny’s Child.” The voice alone gave Carter a jolt. He kept listening. “We really like you,” Gatson continued, “and want to use you.” Carter then excused himself, dropped the phone, raced a lap around the tuxedo shop and came back on the line and said. “Okay, where do you need me and when do you need me to be there?” He’s been working with Gatson—first for Destiny’s Child, and now for Beyoncé—ever since.”

p.s. I really like your joke about him having kids! LOL!

Best of luck!

Betty asks…

How many Christians believe in “spare the rod, spoil the child”?

I am shocked how many people in the parenting section quote the Bible to justify corporal punishment of their children. Are there any religious Christians out there who have a different view of this?
I live in Germany and I really get confused with what I find on this website. There are not many devout Christians in Germany and corporal punishment of children is not at all socially accepted here. Is this really a teaching of Christianity or just an excuse of parents who don’t know how to raise their kids in different way?
I know that it is written in the Bible, but the Bible says many things that Christians nowadays don’t follow.

Ramesh Klinkert answers:

This quote is taken out of context over and over again. First of all the rod is not in a literal sense a spanking, or a object to punish children. The rod is symbolism meaning “WISDOM”.
Psalm 23 “thy rod and thy staff they comfort me”
Extreme opposites of what the people have said over the years about punishing children. If thy rod and staff are a source of comfort in one book of the bible, how can people refer to the rod as a source of punishment for kids. I do not think children would find comfort in being beaten!!

Steven asks…

Do you think Israel is justified for all its innocent killings?

I know they must do what has to be done to defend their country from rockets but 1200 killed in gaza, 800 are innocent civilians.
Are they just killing innocents so they can show hamas who is the boss?
No wonder Israel is charged of war crimes..
whats everyone’s else’s opinion
akmal- I Think they did fight with hezballah but its not solving anything. Israel is 450x stronger then hamas, it will just add more civilian deaths

Ramesh Klinkert answers:

No, its not justified at all.

Edit:
quote from “Private”:
————————
Probably the poster is not aware that Israel routinely text messages all the mobile phones in target areas of Gaza to warn of impending attacks.
This is highly unusual as it obviously loses the element of surprise and thus reducing the effectiveness of the attacks.
During the incursion into Gaza, Israeli forces were still under attack and forced to return fire. The fact that civilians were still present in the combat zone tells us much more about the recklessness of Hamas than it does about Israel.
Israel did not intentionally kill any civilians and there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that it did.
Hamas do intentionally kill civilians and there is ample evidence.
Furthermore, if the Arabs want to prevent more bloodshed then they should refrain from firing rockets into Israel, Something that they have continued since the ceasefire.
————————–

First: you said: “Probably the poster is not aware that Israel routinely text messages all the mobile phones in target areas of Gaza to warn of impending attacks…”
This is just another lie which you and other israelites try to abreact it by massive propaganda.
You assert that israel routinely text messages all the mobile phones in target areas of Gaza.
When civilians in Gaza die because they have no food, medicine and fuel, how could they have mobile phones? Note that Gaza where in massive black out during the war and even if we accept your lies about mobile phones, I wonder how Palestinians in Gaza were able to keep their mobile phones charged when there were black out in Gaza for more than 22 days? By the way, how did israel found Palestinians mobile numbers?
It is interesting that israel first asserted that they dropped text messages over target areas and now you assert that israel routinely text messages all the mobile phones in target areas of Gaza!

Maybe this is how they send message:

Second: you said: “Israel did not intentionally kill any civilians and there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that it did.”
Now I like to ask a question: why israelite snipers assassinated Palestinian kids and shoot them in their chest, use kids as human shield and burned kids with white phosphorus Bombs (which is an unauthorized weapon)?

Third: you said: “Furthermore, if the Arabs want to prevent more bloodshed then they should refrain from firing rockets into Israel, Something that they have continued since the ceasefire.”

When israel occupied Palestine by stupid reasons and support of US and UK, starve Palestinians and kill them every day by different fake excuses, you cant expect Palestinians to remain silent and just watch them.

Sharon asks…

Christians, why do you quote bible verses to defend yourselves even though atheists don’t believe in it?

I don’t get it why do you defend your answer using bible verses, even though atheists don’t believe in the bible.

Ramesh Klinkert answers:

I’m a Christian however a true Christian wouldn’t use the good book as a excuse to be a bigot and force their ways on other people. A true Christian would take there lessons to heart and accept the world and people for how they are and love them unconditional and put judging aside.

I’m sorry if you experience the Bigots that just won’t accept your beliefs and look past that and see you for who you are, but those aren’t real Christian they are posters just being jerks and calling themselves Christians.

My Great Grand Father was a Preacher, my grand mother as a Vou Dou Priestess and I am a Psychic- Intuitive(born this way) so I have no right to pass judgement but the right I do have is to live and not exist!

Namaste….

Paul asks…

Were Jehovahs Witness children ever told to pull out tubes of blood and fight doctors to prevent blood transfu?

transfusions? Quote from Watchtower magazine preferred.

Ramesh Klinkert answers:

Hi there

If somebody is taught not to accept blood transfusions because their God teaches that it is wrong to take blood into the body, would you fight like hell to prevent them from doing so?

It would be like raping the child. You are doing something that is against the will of the individual. You might even give them a disease. I would be ashamed to do so. If I was the doctor I would be prepared knowing that many people, not only Jehovah’s Witnesses, will not take blood transfusions. It would be a poor excuse of a doctor not to be prepared.
